So there is an outbreak, which leads to a zombie apocalypse. But never mind why this outbreak occurs, just know that it happens. Naturally, sh*t hits the fan and the bad guys skip through the streets. Queue the mayhem along with the general breakdown of society. Blah. Blah. Blah. How many times has this tired story played out?
To revolt against what is considered the standard undead mythos, some author is going to produce twinkling, lovesick zombies. The beautification of the zombie will be the next big thing in Hollywood… either that, or things will swing back to pirates or maybe outer space ninjas. Who am I to predict the next big fad in entertainment? What I can tell you is that Sinners and Saints: A Patriot’s Manifesto is unlike any zombie story you have heard before because it is my story.
My name is Zoey Major and I live in Fort Star, New Jersey. I am also a survivor in the zombie apocalypse. Seems very cut and dry but I have been hiding something- like really huge. My secret is game changing. I am not like the others… I know, what a surprise twist! Unfortunately, I can’t tell you why I am different. If you really want to know, you have to figure it out. Hey, even in these dark times, a girl needs her secrets.
Review: Zoe Mayer is a survivor of the zombie apocalypse hiding a terrible secret. As the blurb says, Sinners & Saints, is really a zombie book like no other, and I quite enjoyed that uniqueness. I don't really want to give too much away. The book also has an unique format, especially in dialogue. It took a while to get used to, but once I got used to it, I rather enjoyed it. If you want a new take on zombies and a book that mixes fantasy with humor, I would recommend this one.
