“I will take over the land, I will catch you, there is nowhere you can hide and I will make you rule at my side.”
“I will never be with you, I don't know who you are or what you want but stay away from me!” I screamed.
“Baylee wake up Duchess, everything is alright no one is going to hurt you.”
I opened my eyes to find Grams next to me holding onto me tight, I sat up sobbing, grabbing her shoulders and hanging on for life.
“This can't be happening, this can't be happening,” I sobbed, “The nightmares have gotten worse, and as much as I have been avoiding this I know I have to go talk to Sorley. It is time for some answers. I haven't said anything to Garritt, I don't want him involved in this just yet, I might be wrong but I think Sorley knows what my dreams are about.”
“You know,” She whispered, “I think it might be time for you to talk to your mom about being a leprechaun. Secrets must come out if we are to get these nightmares away, dear. No need to involve the elf.”
I sat up, tears still streaming down my cheeks, “You can't. I don't want anyone to start treating me any different or going to a school where everyone is going to see me as some sort of royal person. That is not who I am.” I sobbed
Title: The Resistance: Duchess
Author: Kristyn Stone
Genre: YA Fantasy
In this second book of The Resistance series Garritt’s twin Baylee takes center stage. Baylee has a hard time being a leprechaun, but when she is captured, she must figure out if she wants to be a normal teenager, an elf for her people or a ruler of leprechauns and elves.
Damon is in love, and even though what he did was wrong, he did it for all the right reasons. When Baylee disappears in front of his eyes he must go the wrong way to get her back.
I am a mother of two wonderful little leprechauns. I am a twenty-seven year old bookworm. I’m a day dreaming, writing stories, photography taking, little nerd, and PROUD. I have been writing for a few years now and hoping to influence the next generations with imagination and hopefully turn them into fans!
I live in Colorado now, where the views are amazing, there is nothing like this view! I have lived in Florida growing up (which is where the beginning of Garritt’s story starts) I have lived in Alabama but nothing compares to Colorado. I do miss the weather in Florida, I’m not a big fan of the white stuff (snow) in the winter.
