What’s the hardest part of being an author?
I love being an author and don’t find any part of it hard. I guess letting my story, just be. I’m forever changing things and when I think I’ve finished something with inspire me, making me think about another part to add. Stepping away is where I struggle.
Can you give us a short synopsis of Strings?
Melissa wakes up in a hospital bed after a savage attack. Her boyfriend Luke, front man of a band called The Black Eagles is missing. Melissa has to recount the events that led up to his disappearance. How they met before his bands rise to fame and all that came with it. The good and the bad, old wounds are open in order to find Luke but with time against them and no trace of him anywhere, are they too late?
What inspired you to write this book?
My passion for both music and book inspired this book. I combined both passions making it really enjoyable. I blog for bands when I can, I love the music scene and going to live gigs is something I really enjoy.
How many hours per day do you spend writing?
It all depends on what family life allows but I try to do a bit each night. 1-2 hours a night is my aim, life doesn’t always co-operate though.
Name your top five favourite books.
That is such a hard question because I love so many that I don’t really have ones that I can single out. I just love books. Here is a list of some of the things I loved. I hope that’s OK?
The Mortal Instruments Series
Ignite by Lily Paradise
The Hunger Games
Baby Girl series by Elle Klass
I have about 100 on my TBR list at the moment. Ha ha
What are you working on now?
I’ve just handed over the sequel to Strings to my editor and made a small start on book 3.
Author: Kat Green
Genre: Romance / Mystery / New Adult
The rise of the Black Eagles was meteoric, from band practice in the garage to global stars almost overnight.
And Melissa Webb, the beautiful girlfriend of the front man, appeared to have it all.
But when Luke Black disappears without a trace and Melissa wakes up in a hospital bed after a savage attack, her perfect world is shattered and their lives are plunged into a potentially deadly crisis.
Where is Luke, and can he be found before it is too late?
Kat Green was born Nov 1979 into a military family and moved around a lot during her childhood. This shaped her into the person she is today. She is at ease with meeting new people and adapting to new surroundings. Her family roots are from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Kat now lives with her husband and son on the south coast of England, Portsmouth. She doesn’t pretend to be the best and is still growing as a writer and having fun along the way. She loves books and has a busy imagination. Her love for music plays a big part in her first novel called Strings. Kat loves to watch live bands and can usually be found at gigs around the UK. In 2010 she lost her mother to blood cancer and it was time to put her words on a page and stop worrying about what people might say ‘Life is too short and precious to waste’ is her motto. Writing is her passion and her escape.
