Q: What’s the hardest part of being an author?
Staying true to your story even in the toughest character moments. I think making decisions that may leave out to dry but feel most expressive of your inspiration. And lastly knowing when to rewrite.
Q: Can you give a short synopsis of your book? What inspired you to write this?
Milan is a girl struggling to carve out a true identity for herself in a world that seems to love just one dimension of her. She is constantly challenged by the idea that love lost can be found. The question is what must be risked to attain such a goal.
Q: How many hours per day do you spend writing?
I write in spurts on a weekly basis. I believe I get about 8 to 10 hours a week done of solid writing. And then I spend time musing. I try to allow free flowing creative ideas to come to mind a couple of times of week typically in the evening. This helps me give more color and life to my scenes and characters.
Q: What are you working now?
Broken 2. It is challenging because issues that don't come up as much in part 1 become more prevalent. And as she discovers more about life and herself roles reverse and change happens which is always a surprise.
